Christmas Star Sourdough

🌾 Ingredients

  • 100 g active sourdough starter

  • 350 g lukewarm water

  • 500 g bread flour

  • 10 g salt

  • Rice flour (dusting ke liye)

Decoration (optional but magic):

  • Fresh rosemary

  • Few cranberries

  • Little flour (snow look ke liye)


🍞 Method (Simple & Real Homemade)

  1. Mix

    • Starter + water mix karo

    • Flour add karo, rough dough bnao

    • 30 min rest (autolyse)

  2. Salt Add

    • Salt add karke gently fold

    • Dough thori sticky hogi (normal hai)

  3. Stretch & Fold

    • Har 30 min baad 3–4 folds

    • Total 3 rounds

  4. Bulk Fermentation

    • Cover karke 6–8 hours room temp

    • Dough airy & doubled ho jaye

  5. Shaping

    • Light flour surface

    • Round shape do

    • Basket ya bowl me seam side up

  6. Cold Proof

    • Fridge me overnight (10–14 hrs)

  7. Scoring (Star Design)

    • Oven se pehle flour dust

    • Beech me star cut

    • Rosemary gently press karo

  8. Baking

    • Oven 230°C preheat

    • Covered bake: 20 min

    • Uncovered: 20–25 min

    • Golden & crackly crust ready ✨

  • Thora flour upar se (snow look)

  • Cranberries sirf decoration ke liye
